My days here in Barcelona are winding down. Good times have been had... a little rap karaoke (followed by a free tequila shot!), a few museums, lots of dancing until 5am, drinking 1€ cans of beer on the street, over-enjoying the durum de pollo (my replacement for the burrito) and many late night simosas, sleeping in until 3pm and lots of good laughs with good friends.
It's been fun, but I'm excited to get home. I hit the ground running (literally) on Saturday morning at 7am with a 12 mile marathon training run -- I may only run 8 or 10. As some of you may have expected, with my ongoing knee problems, I have had to drop back to a half marathon (or 13.1 miles). At the moment, I'm feeling pretty out of shape for even that, but I know I have nearly two months to whip myself back into good enough shape to finish it pretty easily.
It also looks like I may actually have quite a bit of work on my hands for the next couple of months between events, production work for a design firm and working for my mom, not to mention studying for my real estate licensing exam... time will be limited for play. That's ok though, I've been playing for the past two years, it's time to work again. My bank account is screaming for it.
So that's that. Photos from Barcelona and many other things will be up on Flickr... eventually.
